Every day, we are bombarded with conflicting messages about which foods and snacks are good for you and which aren’t. It’s hard to get your head around it, isn’t it? Let us help you by taking you through how our nākd. snack bars are made!
nākd. takes snacking to a whole new level. Not only do we never add sugars or syrups, but we also keep our process minimal by just pressing together 100% natural ingredients into a raw bar.
We only select 100% natural ingredients, like fruit and nuts.
We never add sugar, or syrups. We simply enjoy the sweetness of naturally occuring sugars found in our ingredients.
We then cold-press everything together in a raw bar without using heat.

You may have seen that nākd. looks a little different recently, but never fear, all of our bars’ ingredients and recipes have remained the same. Here at nākd., we’ve always been proud of how we’ve looked, we decided it was time for a make-over. Same taste, NEW FACE! We use 100% natural ingredients, with no added sugar, to create our delicious raw bars, and wanted our new packaging to show this, plus all the delicious ingredients that go into each and every one of our bars. Make sure to pick one up, enjoy the new packaging, and the same jaw dropping taste!
We believe that nākd. bars offer the same yumminess as fruit and nuts, but in a minimally processed and convenient way. We select 100% natural ingredients and then press everything together into a raw bar without using heat, and if this wasn’t enough, we also never add sugar or syrups!
We wouldn’t compare our bars directly to fruit. However, 30g of dried fruit is equivalent to 1 of your 5 a day, and therefore the majority of our bars contribute to this.
Our bars should be consumed as part of a healthy and varied diet, due to the source of fiber content of our nākd. bars, we would not recommend consuming more than 1 or 2 bars a day – but cannot be specific as everyone’s needs are different.
Our proprietary natural flavourings are not artificial and are suitable for vegetarians and vegans, so we think they are better than non-natural flavourings, yes.
Our bars contain no refined sugars or syrups, but it is down to your individual dietary requirements if our products are suitable. We recommend consulting a health professional regarding specific dietary needs if unsure.
Yes, they are.
No – our bars are made by cold-pressing different ingredients together, including fruits and nuts. Our peanuts are roasted so you wouldn’t say they are raw, and our other nuts shells have to undergo some form of heating to make them safe to eat. We do not process, cook or heat the finished product bars, they’re mixed together and cold pressed.
All of our products have a ‘best before’ date printed on the packaging, which we recommend adhering to. We also use high quality sealed packaging that keeps the bars moist and yummy. If you do open the bars, we recommend you consume them immediately and not store them for eating another day (not that we could resist them for that long if we opened a bar)!
nākd. bars are a great snack and are a delicious option to include in a balanced diet, but we would not recommend our bars to be a meal replacement.
nākd. bars are a great snack made from 100% natural ingredients with no added sugar! Our snack bars are made from yummy ingredients such as fruits and nuts, which are cold-pressed together for you into a handy bar, and are gluten, wheat and dairy free, as well as all being vegan friendly.
Our range of goodies are all made with 100% natural ingredients and come in an exciting array of flavours – we don’t need to add any nasty sugary syrups or mysterious additives to make them taste great. They are all suitable for vegetarians and vegans and many contribute to 1 of your 5-a-day.
Each of our products display the sugar content and nutritional properties which is printed on the film and on the back of the multipack.
Our nākd. bars do not contain any preservatives added by us.

Yes, they are.
All of our nākd. bars contain nuts and may contain traces of peanuts and other nuts, therefore it wouldn’t be advisable to eat any of our products if you have an allergy to nuts or peanuts.
All of our nākd. ingredients are declared gluten free, even the ones with oats, which use gluten-free oats.
All our packaging is recyclable; however, our film is not recyclable at household level due to a lack of schemes available across the UK.
This is something we’re looking into very seriously in order to find a suitable material that has a neutral overall effect on the environment and the necessary barrier properties needed to protect the quality of our bars. To date the products, when wrapped in e.g. paper, have been significantly affected to the point we would need to drastically reduce the shelf life of the products. We are therefore still working towards finding the correct packaging which will maintain the quality and preserve the shelf life of both Nākd and Trek products.
We do appreciate our customers may feel disappointed we have not moved to recyclable packaging at household level as yet and in an attempt to compensate this, we do as a company offset our carbon footprint in collaboration with WeForest, an international non-profit association, creating an unstoppable movement around biodiverse tree planting. WeForest plant bio-diverse forests and help to support and educate communities who look after them, which in turn cools our climate and provides employment.
Our wrappers can be recycled with other soft plastics at carrier bag collection points at the larger stores of major supermarkets
